Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand that you may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while we provide the best possible care.
The first visit to our Flagstaff dental office is designed to get you better acquainted with all we offer, as well as to introduce you to Dr. Tuinstra and our caring staff. We encourage questions and do our best to deliver quality care always.

If you have been seen within the last five years and have had X-rays taken, it is important for us to receive copies of these from your previous dentist.
If they are of good quality, it may not be necessary to have them taken again on your first visit here. Please complete a “release of records” form and return it to our office. If no X-rays have been taken we will need to take diagnostic films at your first visit.
Some dental insurance plans have limits on their coverage of radiographs/x-rays. If you have dental insurance, please check with your policy’s coverage. You might be responsible for the fees, if insurance may not cover them. Please call the office if you have any questions regarding our X-ray policy.

The American Dental Association recommends a visit to your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
We understand you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit our office, please remember your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes.
